Doctor of Theology

A 44 credit-hour of Th.D. in Theology program may focus on the study of religious beliefs, practices, and institutions. In this type of program, students may learn about the major religious traditions, key theological concepts, and the history of theology, and is a highly intensive and research-focused program that provides students with advanced knowledge and expertise in a particular area of theology. Students who have Master of Theology and Master of Divinity background of studies are fit into the program. The students are required to write academic paper and pass the comprehensive test in order to be accepted into the program. The methodology of teaching and learning for Doctor of Theology program will be in "Hybrid" system where the students are required to attend the lectures through "zoom meetings" arranged with lecturers and the additional studies hours will help students learning independently coordinated by the lecturers. The writing of dissertation project will  be directed under the mentor and following dissertation defense as the closing mark of the project.

  • Doctor of Theology Colloquium 
    COL-701 

    An introductory seminar for Doctoral of Theology program degree. In this seminar, students will be explained components of Doctoral of Theology program at AOGBI and will be assigned to discuss with the mentor. The students in this program will be also directed to begin to think and do the first work for their final project. The students will reflect their interests or visions for their current and future ministry and be able to choose relevant topic for their dissertation project. The students will be advised on research methods courses that they will take that are relevant to their final research project.
