Doctor of Ministry

Foundational Courses and Concentrated Courses . The students are required to complete "Advance Research Design" course in order to be able to do research qualitatively and quantitatively that will produce "Dissertation Proposal" that later to write and to complete dissertation project for Doctor of Ministry program. The students should choose one of the topics that are relevant to their ministry and planning for the outcome of the current and future ministry endeavors. Many different topics can be chosen from Mission, Leadership, Pastoral topics, etc., in order to meet the ministry desires of the students. The Following are lists of doctoral courses can be chosen by the students to complete doctoral project. The proposal of dissertation will be comprehensively developed in several different chapters in for dissertation and the mentor will arrange the courses based on the proposal that students will write every chapter from the proposal to complete dissertation writing. The number of chapters in the dissertation will not exceed 6 (six) chapters with at least 120 pages or more combined. The completion of dissertation should pass the dissertation defense arranged by mentor and authority of school for the approval.

Required Course (4 credit unit)

  • Doctor of Ministry Colloquium 
    COL-701 

    An introductory seminar for doctoral ministry program degree. In this seminar, students will be explained components of Doctor of Ministry program at AOGBI and will be assigned to discuss with the mentor. The students in this program will be also directed to begin to think and do the first work for their final project. The students will reflect their interests or visions for their current and future ministry and be able to choose relevant topic for their dissertation project. The students will be advised on research methods courses that they will take that are relevant to their final research project.

Research Courses (8 credit unit) 

Student is required to complete an academic research course in Graduate Level. The Research Courses will produce Dissertation Proposal.

Courses For Dissertation Completion

Students can choose the following courses to write chapters'/contents of dissertation. Each course has 6 credit unit loads. The number of courses to be taken not to exceed 6 courses. The courses will be designed by AGBI to fulfill dissertation proposal.
